"Operation Lifesaver" is a nationwide, non-profit public safety education and outreach program designed to eliminate collisions, deaths and injuries at rail crossings and rights-of-way.
Arizona joined Operation Lifesaver in 1979. Operation Lifesaver is now an international program and is supported by national and state organizations, as well as the railroads. Arizona Operation Lifesaver wants you and your family to
be safe around highway-rail grade crossings and trains! Our volunteer
speakers, called Presenters, are available, free of charge, to provide
important safety information to professional truck and bus drivers, school
bus drivers, drivers education classes, elementary school students, law
enforcement and emergency responders, and other civic organizations.
Attention all associates and presenters.
AZOL will hold their annual meeting on board a train during an enforcement event Wednesday September the 16th between 10am and 1pm.
Boarding will be at the Tempe Depot at 9 am and a small lunch will be provided for all OL members. You may board earlier; see attachment,
Please see the attachment for additional information regarding the train schedule for the week. You will have the opportunity to board the locomotive and see first hand from the crew compartment.
We will also be having UPDATES of your OL Manuals, complete with new power points and videos.
Hope to see you there. If you are unable to attend one of the 4 events, another class will be set to get the updates to you.
Please contact me if you can attend.
