UP 4352

UP 4352 pulls west with what is likely a West Colton manifest, probably the Q NPWC. Caught this just east of the siding at Modena, UT.

Slideshow Narration

After passing through the Meadow Valley Wash and detouring around the Clover Creek canyon, I rejoined the tracks at Modena, UT. Again 50 miles of dirt road lay ahead, this time with a twist. This would be new territory for me to follow. I had never seen the line through here, and so I wasn't real sure is was passable. Turns out it was, and for many of the miles along the route from Modena to Milford, you could easily and safely manage 50+ mph. Dust was a huge nuisance though, so be aware of that if you ever try this. Only a few sandy areas too, so most trucks would make it along the road here.
