CONRAIL
SD70MAC REPORT
Conrail 4132 was out testing
on the mountain between Altoona and Cresson on Wednesday, March 26.
The 4132 will not be released to service until the 4133 is completed and
painted. The 4133 should be released this week from Altoona.
4133 to 4141 are currently on the Altoona shop floor in various stages
of construction. The 4130 and 4131 have entered dedicated service
to the INEL and ELIN trains between Indianapolis, IN and Elkhart, IN.
This territory is not cab signalled and both units are able to lead.
An additional note about the SD70MAC's: they are built to CSX specifications
(as mentioned in an earlier post) including five-chime horns!!-Kevin

ENOLA
OFFICE DESTRUCTION
The former offices at
Enola Yard are in the process of being destroyed. Wrecking crews
have begun knocking the building down. The replacement building is
a pole-style building standing next to the former "brick office". -Kevin
