The logo issue generated
nearly 300 e-mail messages from individuals for and against using the railroad
logos on the news page. The overwhelming response was to keep them,
as they provide a "target" for some to skim through and find certain railroad
information. We wish we could please everyone, but that doesn't always
happen. A decision has been made to continue using the logos.
We are going to refine the logos into smaller files so that load time is
a little quicker. Many thanks to all who gave their opinion and we
hope you continue to enjoy Easter Railroad News. - Kevin Burkholder ED.
NOTE: There will only be one edition of the ERN page today. The May 10
page will be updated in the afternoon or early evening. Sorry for
any inconvenience. - Kevin Burkholder

NEW
HOME NOT IN OHIO An
error yesterday on the editors part, saw CPR RS18u 1850 going to Ohio...
The 1850 is actually going to the Cayuga Railway Co., Inc. located in Vestal,
New York. The 1850, is going to the Owego Harford Railway for
minor mechanical work and will subsequently be stored serviceable.
It may see operation from time to time on Owego-Harford Railway. My apologies
to the Cuyahoga Railroad in Ohio who probably wondered when they purchased
an RS18u! Coincidentally, both units destined for the Owego-Harford (1811
and 1850) interchange were shipped to Buffalo.-Kevin Burkholder
