8.0 Revision History (FAQ)

April 2006 - Draft 1.6

  • Polishing up and cleaning up the numbering.

  • Added legend

  • moved the RPs into the body

  • added a glossary section.

  • added "S"s to all the Standard numbers

  • other minor edits.

July 2005

  • Renumbered the FAQs

  • Re-organized the sections into a more logical order.

  • Replaced the use of "mainline" with "through route" except where taking about a Mfsainline module vs. a Branchline module.

  • Add 5.1.2 Turnout controls shall be on all side of the module.

 

NOTE: Some of the section Numbers have changed. The Section Numbers listed below may not still be correct.

 

2004 April

  • 1.0 added line about HO


2004 March 12

  • A number of small grammatical corrections.

  • 3.2.2 & 3.3.2 Minimum track changed from code 55 to code 40, per Chris.

  • Added a number of FAQs.

  • Branchline and Mainline are capitalized everywhere now.

  • Mini-mo is consistent.

  • Added to the introduction to include the concept that a module can have "one or more" ends.

  • 2.1.7 Changed "have infinite adjustment" to "have continuous adjustment"

  • 2.1.9 Changed "rail" to "railhead"

  • 3.1.6 "Turnouts on the MODULE through route" added the word module.

  • 3.1.8 "the two track CENTERLINES shall be spaced" added the word centerlines.

  • 3.2.3, 3.3.3 added the word approximately


2004 March

  • Replaced the use of "End" with "Endplate".

  • 1.0 changed "pieces" to "sections".

  • 1.1.3 - reworded.

  • 2.1.1 - Added FAQ

  • 2.1.5, 2.4.2 change "stand alone" to "stand on its own"

  • 2.4.1 typo fixed: "recomme" should be "recommended"

  • 3.1.3 reworded for clarity.

  • 3.1.10 moved to 7.3

  • 3.2.6 change "should" to "shall", bolded "Class Ia"

  • 3.3.6 change "should" to "shall", Bolded "Class I"

  • 3.4.1 changed "should" to "shall"

  • 4.1.3 changed "#18" to "18 AWG"

  • 4.1.4 changed "#24" to "24 AWG", reworded to match 4.1.3

  • 4.1.9, 4.1.12  put "6 position 6 conductor" in quotes

  • 4.1.7, 4.1.8 added "or equivalent"


2004 February

  • Reformatted the standards into the numbered section format.

  • 3.1.6 added recommendation for #8 turnout on the through track

  • Added 3.2.2 and 3.3.2 - Allowance for smaller track on sidings and spurs
