October 18, 2009

Hocking Valley Scenic moved the string of cars down to the yard during operating hours for safety concerns. Also a few shots of the train on the 2:30PM train to Logan. RS4TC #4005 on the team track after a special Caboose train.

           

           

           

         


October 15, 2009

The newly painted Bi Level Coach makes its first runs in the new HV paint scheme. Equipment in storage is seen on the passing track while crews work on the bike path installing a fence.

This rainy Thursday afternoon Fall Foliage train departs the Station a half hour later due to adding another coach to the consist.

August 15 - 16, 2009

State workers are currently working to extend the public bike path which ends at Robins Crossing. The bike path is being extended into Nelsonville. I took a few photos of the changes that had taken place on the HVSR. These changes included realignment of Railroad track and the tearing down of the 1917 Coaling tower.

The Hocking Valley received 4 new Bi Level Commuter coaches. GP7 5833 is seen making the trip to pick up the 4 coaches from the Indiana & Ohio.

Hocking Valley work forces prepare the foundation for the new gift shop. Cabooses and the Crew car had to be removed from there track. For the crew to work.

Hocking Valley mofw takes the tie handle two push trucks and the motorcar to Bridge 59.5 to remove bridge decking.
