LOCOLLECTION: Trains in the Hudson River Valley of New York. Fall/Winter Quarterly Update Part 2

Fall Foliage shots from the River Line:

The shot above is for my friend Rob. We sat at this spot for three hours one day waiting for a good southbound...

A dredger working the river in November, 2000.

A shot of the Diversity logo on CSX 5001.

K277 NB through Poughkeepsie this November. This run had two ex-Conrail SD40-2s pulling it north. You can see my breath on the left on this cold night.

This ex-Mongahela unit is a B23-super7. The units were remanufactured from ex-Western Pacific U23B's. The remanufacturing is what gives them that "-8" appearance (so sayeth Mark Wurst, Idiot Railfan The Idiot Railfan ). Picture by me, in Kingston Yard, 12/16/00.

Here's a shot of an idiot's jeep on 12/20/2000. He showed up late one night at the Brass Anchor restaurant in Hyde Park wet and hurt. He didn't know where his jeep was. Sheriff found it the next day just south of the restaurant. Check out the tide line in the snow.

Later that day I got Q417 SB across the Port Ewen-Kingston bridge. I've staked out the bridge many times but never got such a good shot.
