Cache Junction

Once again winter has come upon the Ogden Subdivision, Union Pacific C40-8 9060 leads a train through Cache Junction on the morning of December 11, 1998. The fog is lifting and the trees are covered in frost.

The bridge over Utah state Highway 23.

Cache Junction is where the Cache Valley Branch starts, loads are left on the Cache branch leg of the wye for the Cache Valley Local to pick up and take to the industries on the line.

Tunnel Motors are now seen on the Ogden Sub on a regular basics.

BNSF detour trains have made some runs over the Ogden Subdivision.

Maintenance of Way shed in the middle of the wye.

Leaving Cache Junction, the line crosses over the Cutler Reservoir and then goes on to Trenton, Utah.
