Chester, Ma/CP-123
Following Rt-20 west, the mainline runs along the road until you enter the Chester area where Rt-20 veers to the west and the tracks take a more northerly direction.
Just north of Old State Rd bridge lies CP-123 (Bannish Lumber Co.) where the mainline go's from single to double track.
CP-123 can be accessed by foot after turning on to Old State Rd, crossing over the tracks and parking off to the left on a dirt road that the local fisherman use. By walking one of the river trails on the northside of the tracks you can access the CP-123 area although the lighting conditions in this area isn't very good for photo's due to the location of a hill/cut to the south and a very tight tree line on the northside that allows very little lite to get into this location.
Early morning sun may allow a short window for E/B's but you may still have alot of shadows that would rule out a good slide shot.
Their's a sawmill located between the interlocking and Rt-20, this is private property and should be avoided along with the RR ROW.
