1998 Trip to New York City Soundpage

I used my Panasonic RN-402 mini-cassette recorder hooked directly to my Yaesu FT-411E ham radio or Uniden Bearcat BC-200XLT Scanner. Using the VOX setting at medium sensitivity, I was able to capture rail traffic without having to listen continuously with my finger on the record button! The sounds are in WAV format and the file sizes are indicated. Please let me know of any sound problems. Nearly all of the sounds I collected on my trip to New York City were Hotbox/Dragging Equipment Detectors. I was trying to catch humorous discussions between train crews or dispatcher to train, etc. but none came up. Actually there was one very humorous incident on the radio but I didn't have the recorder set up.
