Trailer Train Corporation was formed by several companies, which provide a source of unique cars used by railroads. With auto-carriers for instance, the rack was owned and marked for the railroad, while Trailer Train retained ownership over the versatile flatcar.

Enclosed Autorack, now wearing Union Pacific yellow. The rack itself is owned by the railroad and marked for MP1254 The flatcar part is owned by Trailer Train, marked ETTX 962557. The first autoracks were open bi or tri-leveled cars. Later the railroads began enclosing the racks after vandals became a problem.
