South Orient near Rankin, Texas

Emblematic of South Orient's early traffic problems was this westbound train, which travelled 200 miles from San Angelo to Alpine with only 1 car. The trackage is pure ex-KCM&O here, as the train approaches the small west Texas town of Rankin on July 1, 1992.
