What is now known as the Southwestern Michigan Garden Railway Club began as an informal gathering of G scale customers of J&W Model Trains in the 1990.

The layout currently has over 700 feet of track on two levels.  Four main line and two trolley lines are capable of operating simultaneously.   The layout is about 30 feet by 50 feet

The club itself is comprised of about 20  members ranging in age from 14years  to seventy-plus. 

Each spring & fall, the club hosts a two day open house at the club layout behind J&W Model Trains in Coloma, Michigan.   Approximately 200 people attend over the two day show.
