During 1995 and 1996, Milwaukee Road 4-8-4 261 visited Steamtown National Historic Site in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Below are some scenes from 261's eastern swing.


The first photo is of 261's return home, as it passed a semaphore at Barton, New York, on Conrail's Southern Tier Line on June 13, 1996.

On August 13, 1995, David Goodheart of Goodheart Video chartered 261 for the Great Freight over the Delaware Lackawanna Railroad, the same track used by Steamtown's trains. The freight made a runby past the abandoned Lackawanna tower at Gouldsboro, Pennsylvania.

The Great Freight was storming upgrade at Lehigh Summit east of Moscow, Pennsylvania.
