Chesapeake & Ohio 4-8-4 614 ran several trips between Hoboken, New Jersey, and Port Jervis, New York, in 1996, 1997 and 1998 over New Jersey Transit's former Erie main line.


Ross Rowland was at the throttle of 614 in Port Jervis, New York, on October 26, 1996.

At Harmon Cove, New Jersey, 614 was just minutes into its westward trip on October 17, 1998.

The 4-8-4 was romping and stomping westbound at Tuxedo Rocks north of Tuxedo, New York, on October 18, 1997.

On a much brighter October 31, 1998, the ditch-light-equipped 614 pounded past Tuxedo Rocks.
