ECDC Environmental,
L.C.

ECDC Environmental, L.C. a large landfill located near East Carbon, has transformed the economy of its host city. Although it is not a "glamour" industry, the landfill has succeeded in creating jobs and in vastly expanding the municipal revenues. Tipping fees paid to East Carbon have enabled the city to renovate its water and sewer system, and to completely repave its streets. The landfill is the anchor tenant of an industrial park which has recently added steel fabrication plant.
