UTAH CENTRAL
RY
The Utah Central Railway was reborn in name in the early 1990's. The current operation is based out of the Amalgamated Sugar factory site at West Haven. Interchange is between UP in the Ogden main yard and the BNSF at Transfer (West) yard.
The railroad moves freight short distances to and from the Union Pacific line in Ogden. Its customers are Weber County manufacturing plants, warehouses, feedlots and grain elevators. The Utah Central also provides boxcar switching and track maintenance services for local plants.
