On Wednesday September 28, 2005, Train 21 the Texas Eagle carrying 78 passengers and 12 crew members derailed in eastern Missouri, between Saint Louis and Popplar Bluff, after apparently striking boulders on the tracks from a rockslide. There were 30 injuries, none life threatening.
