As a subsidiary of Missouri Pacific, IGN was the owner of a dome purchased in 1952 from Pullman Standard . The car was used in conjuction with domes from parent MP and MP subsidiary Texas & Pacific in "Texas Eagle" service |

IGN 896 (pool car) - MP 596(1965), IC 2211(6/67), 9/71 to Joseph Brown Tulsa OK for use as the "Iron Horse Restaurant", became several other restaurants, then to Iron Horse Railway Museum, car donated early 1980's to Ford County RR Historical Society Ford KS, car donated in late 1980's to Dodge City Ford & Bucklin RY for excursion use - car moved to Dodge City KS, traded to the Southeast Kansas Railway in 1991 and moved to Pittsburg KS, sold fall 1995 to the owners of the Cafe Lafayette Dinner Train and rebuilt winter/spring 1996 at the Hobo RR shops. Car is named "Granite Eagle" and operates out of Lincoln NH over the Plymouth & Lincoln Railway. All windows (even dome) open and close. |
