Original price: New 1954: $6.95
Recent price (high/low): $203.99 Jul 2003 $9.99 Nov 2004
(average/median): $72.21 / $66.00

This car is mentioned in a September 1954 ad as "Coming Next Month", and lo and behold in the October 1954 ad it appears with pictures. The kit was designed by Jim Doyle of Northeastern to Ambroid's super detailed specifications. It was claimed to be ideal for display on desk, mantle or TV set. It came complete with scale or tinplate trucks. The price was $6.95

The kit was reviewed in the April 1955 Trade Topics column of Model Railroader. The reviewer was generally very impressed with the kit and how well it is designed. No single operation in building the kit is difficult, even though the kit has a large number of parts. Plan for about four evenings to finish the kit. The review ends with: "The completed snowplow is one of the best looking kit-built models we've seen".
