Caltrain commuter rail service available from San Jose to Palo Alto, San Francisco, and intermediate points.

Commuter rail service from San Jose to Livermore and Stockton is provided by the Altamont Commuter Express.

BART rapid transit service available from Richmond to Oakland, Dublin/Pleasanton, Fremont, San Francisco, Daly City, Colma, Concord, and intermediate points.

Services on board Capitol Corridor trains

• Coaches - unreserved seating.
• Cafe car - sandwiches, snacks, and beverages.
• Railfone public telephone service available on most trains.
• No checked baggage--passengers may bring hand baggage on board.
• Bicycles:
  • Capitol trains are equipped with a limited number of bike racks.
  • Available first-come, first-served -- no reservations or service charge.
  • Passengers may bring bicycles as unboxed carry-on baggage.
  • Unboxed bicycles may be put in the bin under San Francisco-Emeryville motorcoaches.
• Smoking is prohibited entirely on Capitol Corridor trains and connecting buses
