The MBTA's F40PHM-2Cs, built by Morrison-Knudsen, are nearly identical to the F40PH-2C. They are also similar, if not identical, to F40PHM-2Cs used by other railroads such as Coaster in California and Tri-Rail in Florida. As mentioned on the F40PH-2C page, a spotting feature to distinguish it from its nearly identical cousin is the cab numberboards, which are smaller and like those of MBTA F40PHs. One F40PHM-2C, 1034, has an Operation Lifesaver logo.
Modeling the F40PH-M2C would follow the lines of the F40PH-2C kitbash described on that page. The Walthers shell has the correct numberboards, so they can be left alone.
