I will have some of the history of this magnificent locomotive soon. If you have never heard of the Madame Queen it is very fascinitating. This locomotive is a one of a kind (Class 5000, built in 1930) and we are honored to have it right here in Amarillo, Texas. My mother worked for Santa Fe and helped in the donation of the 5000 to Amarillo and hope to get some info and more history of this from her soon. I will have some more pictures on this locomotive soon as well as a better quality for the top of this page.

This is the early version of the sticky note. This was to remind the engineers of
how to set the valves is this locomotive was being towed so as not to break the running
gear.
Notice the boiler plate mounted upside down.
