There are a total of five different styles of locomotives currently produced by Jakks in the "Power City Trains" line. When Power Trains were introduced, the first series had two styles of locomotive. A freight locomotive inspired by a General Motors GP40-2 diesel and a bullet train with a Japanese/Euro look. Series 2 introduced the Subway train body style. Series 4 introduced two new locomotive types, a diesel resembling a General Electric "GEVO" style as well as a 4-8-4 steam locomotive. Both these locomotives also appeared in R/C versions in the Log Loader Express and Holiday Express sets respectively.
