Motive Power

Our choice for the 4-6-0 will be the new Bachmann Spectrum release of a Baldwin prototype, if it proves to be a close enough compromise to one of the the Mobile & Ohio's many versions. Road markings shall be for the Mobile & Ohio parent road, until such time as information is located for the correct Mobile & Bay Shore markings. DCC equipment shall be mounted in the tender and additional weight shall be added to the boiler for traction.

No modifications other than the installation of DCC electronics is expected to the operational parts of the locomotive.

Wheelsets shall be made to conform to the Proto:87 specification, if possible.
