WELCOME!! to Bills' Hobbies at the MaximumSpeed sub domain.
This site is where I am finally breaking free from all those "free homepages" sites.
Those sites have their place allright, don't get me wrong! But after signing up up for, and creating somewhere around 9 different free homepages, I was still not satisfied with the results I was getting with the various "online" page building systems, and decided that the only way I was going to learn HTML for building my own site from scratch was to spend some money and buy space on the web. So, I did, and I am learning HTML to keep my investment from being wasted. For me,one of the most annoying things about the "free" sites was the advertising banner, or two, that kept taking up screen space. This just is not for me.
One thing that I decided to do, was to make my first page one that would download as fast as possible. There are a lot of folks out there that just do not want to spend a lot of time waiting for slow page downloads, myself included, their web time is too valuable, and me, well, I'm just too much in a hurry most of the time. Give me something to read quick, so I can decide whether to stay and check out the rest of the site.
As work on this site continues, you will find links to other pages as I build them, maybe some with lots of graphics and photos, that will take longer to load. For those of you that are watching your time, the list of links should give you an idea of whether to click on some now, or just bookmark and come back later.
