A PUNE Ring....

That was a marvellous 3200-odd kilometre long journey. It was covered in 5 days! That was a really beautiful journey, and I witnessed something that I always wanted to! Here is some tid-bids from the journey:

Part ONE of the journey: We first took a bus from Dadar to Pune Station. That was an MSRTC Volvo (MH 12 AR 9736), named as "Shivneri". The bus left Dadar at 1830. The traffic was heavy from Dadar till Vashi. We entered the express way at around 1945 or so. We stopped at the Food Plaza near the exit toll plaza at around 2045. The bus pulled into Pune Station MSRTC Bus Terminus at around 2150. We had our Dinner from Comesum food plaza. Our train, 1097 Pune-Ernakulam Poorna Express departed from Platform 1 at 2310. The loco in charge was WDM3A #14093 of Pune. The coach was WGACCN 01108 based at LTT. The train had a pantry, and their food was really good! The catering gets 7 on 10!

Part TWO of the Journey: Ernakulam to Coimbatore by Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) Super Fast bus. The bus was KL15 6170, fleet number RT992 of Trivandrum Central Depot. The bus left Ernakulam Bus Station at 1700, and reached Coimbatore Ukkadam Bus station at around 2230 or so.

Part THREE of the journey: Coimbatore to Pune by 1014 Lokmanya TT Express. The loco was Erode WDM3D #11101 from Coimbatore to Bangalore, and Krishnarajapuram WDP4 #20035 from Bangalore to Pune. The coach was WGACCN 98117 based at LTT. The train was delayed by 37 minutes at the origin, and reached Pune delayed by 65 minutes. The train has a Pantry car, and the catering was by KMA Caterers, Bangalore. The catering gets 8 on 10. From Pune, we took another MSRTC "Shivneri" Volvo. This time, the bus was MH11 T 9231.

In addition to the train journeys, I had a few journeys on KSRTC Ordinary buses, and a few highway rides on a car!
