New Jersey Transit E8's replace a GG1 on a commuter run at South Amboy, NJ in the summer of 1981. Family Lines (L&N) U25B #1615 and a slug work the yard at Corbin, KY The ultimate Chessie lash-up at Garret, PA in the summer of '81. East Tennessee & Western North Carolina RS36 #211 emerges from the engine house at Johnson City, TN.
One of my favorite places to photograph southbounds is at Mountain View, TN just south of Oneida, on the KY-TN border. B&A F3 #502 on an exursion near Millinocket,  Maine in 1991 CN 3254 sits at Moscow, PA at the end of a 27-mile excursion from Steamtown National Historic Site. The Southern F's emerge from a short tunnel and are about to enter a longer one at Oakdale, TN
