MAY 17, 2007 The Cape Fear Railroaders/Cape Fear Chapter #164, of the National Railway Historical Society, Inc. and National Model Railroad Association, Inc. is the local Railfan and Model Railroading club in Fayetteville, NC. We are incorporated as a non-profit Historical and Educational organization, dedicated to keeping the history of railroading alive. OBJECTIVES
The Cape Fear Railroaders/Cape Fear Chapter #164, of the National Railway Historical Society Inc. and membership in the National Model Railroad Association sponsors and operates the Railroad Historical Center. We are always looking for people, like you, who enjoy railroading. Members enjoy railroad history, historical preservation, railfaning (watching trains), slide and video presentations, and discussion of rail-related topics. Past activities have included running a model railroad show and sale, trips to other rail museums and shows, and operating a model railroad displays at the mall and country fair. Future activities planned are the future development of the Historical Center, getting and restoring a Caboose, Railfan trips, and to take model layouts to shows around the area.
Chapter meetings are held 7:30 PM on the 1st Tuesday of each Month. at the Cape Fear Railroaders Historical Center; on the third Floor of Fascinate-U Children's Museum 116 Green Street Fayetteville, NC 28302 OPEN HOUSE ON THE FIRST AND THIRD SATURDAYS FROM NOON TO 4 PM
