The following announcements were posted on the Bay Area Transit
Information Project web site
Amtrak announced a new service yesterday that sends buses between its Emeryville station and San Francisco International Airport.
Buses will meet Amtrak trains on the Capitol line and select trains from its San Joaquin line. The buses also will carry passengers
arriving at the San Francisco airport to Amtrak's Emeryville terminal. Tickets for the approximately 50-minute ride are $7 and
must be bought at the same time as the train ticket. The Amtrak Motorcoach Connection also serves the Millbrae Caltrain station,
allowing Caltrain passengers to link with Amtrak. Capitol trains run from Colfax, northeast of Sacramento, through the East Bay to San
Jose. The San Joaquin run travels between Oakland and Bakersfield. For information, call (800) USA-RAIL or visit Amtrak's web site at
www.amtrak.com.
