3. Columbia Northwestern Model Railroad Club Officers |
3.1.
Executive Officers shall be elected by the ship body yearly,
in accordance with Paragraph 3.2 below, and will form
the Executive Committee. These Officers shall consist of. 3.1.1. President 3.1.2. Vice President 3.1.3. Secretary / Treasurer |
3.2. Officers of the club shall be nominated at the second regular business meeting prior to the end of the calendar year, with nominations being reopened and voting taking place at the last regular business meeting prior to the end of the calendar year. Officers shall take office as of the following January 1. |
3.3. Executive officers shall be at least 18 years of age, due to the need for legal signatures and check signing responsibilities. |
3.4. Non-Executive Officers shall
be appointed by the Executive Committee as needed, including,
but not limited to: 3.4.1. Public Relations Officer 3.4.2. Fund Raising Officer 3.4.3. Research Officer |
3.5. Multiple Non-Executive Officer positions may be held by one person. |
3.6. Dismissal of an Officer of the Columbia Northwestern Model Railroad Club may be accomplished by a 2/3 majority vote of the membership at a regular club meeting. Just cause for such dismissal shall be given at such a meeting by the accusing person, with the Officer so accused having the privilege of rebuttal, and shall be voted upon immediately, with the vote being considered final. |
3.6.1.
Dismissal of an Officer from his duties shall not be construed
as the same as revocation of membership. An Officer thus dismissed shall continue to retain membership until and unless the Membership Committee, in accordance with procedures established-in these bylaws, makes the recommendation to the body for revocation and such recommendation is acted upon favorably by the body at the next regular club meeting. |
3.6.2. Dismissal of an Officer shall be effective immediately, and require the immediate nomination procedures to replace that officer, following the procedures outlined in Paragraph 3.7. |
3.7. The duties of Executive Officer positions that become vacant, due to either resignation or dismissal from duty according to paragraph 3.6, shall be filled temporarily by the next lower ranking Executive Officer. Nominations shall be made immediately to replace the Officer so dismissed, and at the following regular business meeting the nominations shall be reopened and the voting take place. |
