Units #5900-5914 (DRF-30s) were delivered in December 1978 and January 1979, in the CP Rail Large Multimark scheme with 8" stripes, the last group to do so. Units #5915-5949 (DRF-30t) were delivered in October and November 1979, and was the first group to be delivered in the CP Rail Small Multimark scheme, with 8" stripes and white frame dots. Units #5950-5999 (DRF-30u) were delivered between October 1980 and March 1981, also painted in the CP Rail Small Multimark paint scheme.
