Notes : Built by EMD as Illinois Central GP40 #3045 (2/1967), then to ICG #3045, then to KCS #781. Sold to Morrison Knudsen, became MKCX #781. Rebuilt by MK to GP38-3 specifications. Acquired by Dakota, Minnesota & Eastern (9/1996) and renumbered to DME #3830. Named "City of Meriden". Aquired by Rapid City, Pierre & Eastern when CP sold the western portion of the DM&E in 2014 to Gennessee & Wyoming, became RCPE #3830, then to RCPE #2085.
