The CSG Club Cam and the NASG Armco Steel Building

A recent acquisition of the Connecticut S Gaugers has been a train mounted camera that is used on the club's modules that are displayed at area train shows. Bob, while not owning a module, has contributed significantly to the modular layout since joining the club. This photo, taken on Bill Fuhrman's home layout, shows how Bob mounted the camera inside the crates of a New Haven gondola. Bob created the crates. The camera, popular with train show attendees of all ages, provides a great trackside view that is projected onto an overhead monitor.

The camera is from M & S Communications, Box 28631, Providence, RI 02908, phone 401-354-6941.

In 2002 the National Association of S Gaugers (NASG) commissioned the creation of their first ever structure building kit. This is the Armco Steel Building that sells for $20 apiece for members/$18 for two or more. The photos above and below show how Bob assembled and finished the kit. He added many of the details including the workbench and acetylene canister which he created. The corrugated door, in the raised position in these photos, was also Bob's creation.

The photos of the Armco building below were taken on Bob's home layout.
