This photo shows the interior of an American Flyer Smoke-In-Tender (SIT) unit. Note the bellows which George replaced using umbrella cloth. George modified one locomotive so that an SIT tender was combined with a smoke in boiler locomotive. The reverse unit (E unit) was placed in a passenger car that trailed behind the tender. |
