Annual BBQ, Blues & Bluegrass Festival
set for June 8!
Get ready for the DPA's 2nd annual BBQ,
Blues & Bluegrass Festival, set for June 8, 4 to 10 PM, on Howard Avenue,
down by the Depot.
Last year's festival was a huge success, and the
2002 version should be even better, with more Bluegrass bands, more Blues bands,
a train ride in addition to the moon walk for kids, more food vendors and beer
brought to you by Sweetwater Brewery! 1n addition to our main music stage featuring
Delta Moon and other great bands, we hope to have some Bluegrass Jamming going
on down the street. Meanwhile, Dusty's Barbecue will be back, along
with other food vendors selling hot dogs, funnel cakes and more!
Admission
is $5, but DPA members get in free! Bring a friend to join at the door
and he or she will get free admission and an oversized T-shirt while they last!
Kids under 10 are free as well. Proceeds will once again
be used for the exterior renovation of the Decatur depot, set to be moved just
after our festival.
And just like last year we need lots of volunteers
to make this Festival a success!
