1954 Krupp Locomotive
at Ghinda Station

This is the 1954 Krupp diesel as it was about to pull Hans' and Mebrat's train to Massawa.  The trip was organized by Eritours.

It went from Asmara to Ghinda by bus, then from Ghinda to Massawa by train and on to Dahlak Islands by boat where they stayed overnight.  The return trip from Massawa to Asmara was by bus.

The train was formed by the locamotive, passenger car, restauration car (brown) and passenger car for the Eritrean (ordinary) passengers.
