Run the NB Silver Meteor from Tampa Union Station to Auburndale, pick up the Miami section in this 1990-era activity, and head north.The NB Silver Meteor is ready to pull from TUS. You have station stops in Lakeland, Kissimmee, Orlando, Winter Park and Sanford. You also have switching to do at Auburndale, where the Miami section of the Meteor is waiting for you. You'll need to uncouple your engine, pull forward, back into the connecting track, couple up to the full Miami train, pull forward again and back to put together the full NB Meteor.
The alpha version of the A-Line has no platforms. The 1990 Lakeland station is just before the end of double track, near the last signal bridge, on the left. The Kissimmee station is approximately one mile north of the NE Kissimmee holdout. Orlando's depot is depicted. Winter Park is of course on the left side of the sweeping curve. Sanford's station is on the right side of the track, about a half mile south of the Aloma spur and the curve to the left toward Rand Yard. Pop-up messages will alert you as you approach these station stops.
Also note that without platforms, the F10 station-stops/time monitor will not show the stations or times. Your timetable is set out below. You may want to print this file to refer to these scheduled times during the activity. You can still monitor simulation time with the F10 display.
The maximum speed limit on the alpha build is 60, although Amtrak speed limit is 79. Times for station stops are based on a maximum speed of 60, since numerous speed restictions per ETT are not simulated, and the speed and actual times should even out.
