Unit 4016:1 was involved in a head-on collision with 8460 at Attean,ME on August 8, 1957. Parts of 4016 were used by MLW to build RS-10s 8824 and was outshopped in November 1957. 8460 was repaired and returned to service in December 1957. Units 4001 and 4007 were also involved and were both repaired. |

RDC 9101 was the trailing unit on a two car RDC train at Parkaland,AB on October 24, 1959 when it was struck broadside by a gasoline truck. 9101 derailed and caught fire and was subsequently the first RDC scrapped by CPR. |
