The slug half of a slug-mother set built by NRE Mt. Vernon in late December 2008. Slug unit on new frame is Neptune 808A, ran in UMLER as NREX 8081. |

Neptune 3GS21B 808 and slug 808A (moving as NREX 8081) were spotted on the Evansville & Western Railroad in Mount Vernon, IL on Dec. 28. The pair tested on the E&W until Jan. 6, 2009, and were returned to NRE. |
