Here are some interesting rumors - just to add fodder to discussion while working on the club layout.

Norfolk Southern is going to run intermodal trains on the NE Corridor (Boston to DC)...using Amtrak electrics to maximize horsepower and minimize deadheading of equipment on both railroads.
   CSX will spin off the remaining Connecticut lines to P&W...the Bay Colony will be sold the P&W, P&W will reopen the Poughkeepsie Bridge...The New Haven lives.
   Can you say..."Norfolk Southern's classification yard in East Deerfield, MA"
   The next mega railroad:  BNSFNSUPCSXT or just plain "Union Pacific--We can handle it OR ELSE!!"
   SD100MAC's - are going into production..... in LaGrange.

Larry Cannon Earns M.M.R. #284

Congratulations are in order for Larry Cannon for achieving the lofty goal of Master Model Railroader (MMR) as awarded by the National Model Railroad Association. (NMRA)
Now Larry has worked both HO and Large Scale extensively and has been a regular entrant and judge in several contests, many of which are here in the Northeastern Region of the N.M.R.A. Many of you have seen his finely detailed models and have heard his clinics. He is also a life member of the Great Falls Model Railroad Club. Now he has been recognized as one of the best. Not only is it a great honor for the him but it is a great honor for the club.
Larry, we the members of the Great Falls Model Railroad Club, salute you.
