Originally CP 1704. Built at Alstom Calgary for 2006 delivery to CP using the frame of CP 1544 (GMD GP9m). Contract terminated and unit was not delivered. Spotted at Alstom in Dec., 2006 in CP paint. Equipped with a lerger 500kW diesel generator, giving the unit a noticeable hump at the end of the long hood.
