CLEAR AND RED WARNING HEADLIGHT

by Charles L. Howard [assigned to The Pyle-National Company]
Filed: Nov. 25, 1949; Serial No. 129,324
Patented: July 18, 1950

Light unit consists of: a lamp bulb 14, reflector disk 20, motor and gear housing 16.

Reflector disk 20 is generally a circular peripheral configuration. It may be parabolic or formed in other desirable curved configurations to obtain specific beam characteristics. It can be secured in desired position by set screw 22.

This unit uses air pressure via line 30 to blow particles 29 vertically upward between the lenses 24 and 26 in order to intercept the unit's beam and produce a colored beam of light.

Lens 24 has holes 24a in it to allow for the escape of air.

Particles 29 can be hollow plastic balls the size of small marbles or they can be particles with cut surface facets that will reflect light rays to produce the colored beam.
