  Doonbeg, village, bay, and strea, parish of Killard (q.v.), West county Clare, Ireland, 7 miles N of Kilrush. The village is on the bay, at the mouth of the stream (which rises in Islands barony and flows southwest, west, and northwest), and has a good pier, from which fisheries are conducted. Four annual fairs are held. An ancient castle is in ruins. Population: 120.
