Blast furnace body after final assembly and sanding. J-B Weld(TM) epoxy was used to connect the bottom to the midsection; PlasticWeld(TM) bonded the midsection and top pieces, with styrene putty used as filler.
(J-B Weld(TM) is very easy to sand and shape, with virtually zero shrinkage when curing. I would have used it on both seams if I hadn't exhausted my supply!)
