It's Friday night and all the teenagers and young families in town head for Bettie's Diner to have some nice food and to have a good time. The rock 'n roll is loud and the burgers, fries and milkshakes are being prepared at a furious pace inside as more folks keep arriving. But at least one couple is there for more than just the burgers and fries tonight!

It's very early in the morning, the sun has just come up, and Milner's has just received a fresh batch of John Deere tractors. A funeral is being held in the small cemetery behind the small church for Mr. Hightower, a former yardmaster. The widow wails in grief, while all the sudden the ground shakes and a Santa Fe 4-8-4 sounds its whistle and makes its presence known. For a moment, the funeral attendees wonder if this train is being summoned from the heavens by the dearly departed yardmaster or if he will even wake up!!
