Early construction of the high bridge



In March 1999 George (Stumpy) Thomas flew from NJ to LaJunta
to visit his daughter and drove up to Denver to meet Piute. While
at the BYOB he took some pictures to use as a Slim & Stumpy
adventure on the BYOB. (Press BACK to return here)



On May 22, 1999, Piute Lumber Company shay #3 made
the first powered run from Big Yawn to Ophir



John (JC) Goda (from Colorado Springs) and Stumpy (from NJ/Castle
Rock CO--his daughter moved) visited the BYOB in December 2000


JC and Stumpy brought out a locomotive and caboose. Piute directed
and approved each picture of what would become a Slim & Stumpy
adventure on the Piute Lumber Co. (Press BACK to return here)
