Some snow came in early March, it was supposed to be a big blizzard. It was pretty good (1 foot of fluffy powder), but not a disaster.
Another snow shot. There is a road there, somewhere.

Ex-Conrail caboose 23512 in Suffern, NY. April, 2001
Easter bought some nice surprises: MCVX 9657 and MCVX 361308, the Massachusetts Call/Volunteer Firefighter Associations Safety Train. As of today (5/27/01) the caboose is in Selkirk and the boxcar is in West Springfield, MA.
On Easter, Amtrak #71 that day had the unrebuilt but renumbered turbo set. This is a rarer "mtrk" engine, the A fell off. Renumbered to 2139 from 159 just recently to make room for the newer Gennys.
The Danbury Rail Museum's excursion May 5, 2001. Early in the morning
Whaley Lake WB to Beacon then Poughkeepsie.
A fine meet! MNR 2045 was SB as the excursion arrived.
May 8, 2001: I got up at 440am to go to Selkirk and see: Chicago & North Western 6847 (SD40-2)-UP 6195 (SD60M)-UP 8620 (SD40T-2 Ex-Denver, Rio Grande, & Western)-Denver, Rio Grande, & Western 5384 (SD40T-2)
HLCX 564 (ExUP C36-7E) was right next to
Denver, Rio Grande, & Western 5384 up close.
GECX 3000 (Super7) in Selkirk.
Soon few green and black Burlington Northern sets will be left. Nice to see one here with HLCX 7172-7182 doing the honors. I believe this was a K201. All tankers with two buffer hoppers.
