BNSF Chillicothe Sub
Oct. 28, 2005
My visit to the former Santa Fe got off to a slow start with this lame broadside shot west of Coal City.
Things quickly improved, though, as I caught this rare clean UP engine leading a westbound stack train near Kinsman.
Grab shot through the Kinsman elevator.
Another stack train flies west at the Grundy-La Salle county line.
This time NS is leading a stacker at Streator.
The catch of the day -- a trio of new GEVO's on a Z train, also at Streator.
Red-and-silver Warbonnets used to rule the rails here.
In between track workers and a malfunctioning grade crossing signal, this train crawls through downtown Mazon.
A fitting image for the end of the day, a trailer train speeds west near Gorman.
