The steamer chugs across Lake Monona.





With whistle wailing, 1003 brings its train through the town of McFarland.

Crossing the Yahara River near Lafollette County Park, north of Stoughton.





Locals come out to greet the steamer as it passes the restored depot in Stoughton.





Nice plume of smoke at M.P. 110, approaching Kidder Road between Edgerton and Milton.





The train slows to a stop at Milton Junction ...





... and moments later is ready to depart again.





Not a great angle, but I had to get a shot with the ancient Griswold crossbuck at John Paul Road.





The train rolls by the Milton depot as it prepares to stop on the east side of town to take on coal.
